Itinerary

Morning: Airport Pick Up & A Tour at the Pyramids of Giza

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, your Touring in Egypt representative will meet you at the arrival hall holding a personalized sign with your name. After assistance with airport procedures, you’ll board your private air-conditioned vehicle and head directly to the Giza Plateau, located approximately 45 minutes away depending on traffic conditions.

The Great Pyramid of King Khufu

Begin exploring with your expert Egyptologist guide at the Great Pyramid of King Khufu (Cheops), the oldest and largest of the three Giza pyramids, built around 2560 BC. Admire its precise construction and massive limestone blocks. Your guide will explain the fascinating pyramid construction theories and ancient Egyptian engineering marvels behind this last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World.

Pyramid of Khafre

Continue your pyramid tour with the Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren), which appears taller than Khufu’s pyramid due to its elevated position on the plateau and retained limestone casing at its peak.

Pyramid of Menkaure

Discover the Pyramid of Menkaure, built by King Khufu’s grandson, featuring a distinctive granite-covered base and three smaller queens’ pyramids designated for royal family members. Though the smallest of the three, it’s remarkable for its complex mortuary temples and unique granite casing.

Valley Temple of Khafre

Your Egyptologist guide will lead you to the remarkably preserved Valley Temple of King Khafre, a stunning 41-square-meter granite structure constructed from massive Aswan granite blocks transported over 1,000 kilometers along the Nile River. This sacred site served a crucial role in the ancient Egyptian mummification process during the Old Kingdom period. Witness the remnants of the ancient causeway that once connected the valley temple to the pyramid complex.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

Marvel at the legendary Great Sphinx of Giza, one of Egypt’s most mysterious monuments. Carved from a single massive limestone block, this colossal statue combines a lion’s body with a human head, believed to represent King Khafre himself, eternally guarding the royal necropolis. Your guide will share the Sphinx’s mysteries and legends that continue to fascinate scholars and visitors worldwide.

Enhance your visit with an optional camel or horse ride across the desert sands with the magnificent pyramids as your backdrop.
